After teachers submitted grants, the Hen Hud Elementary PTA purchased new recess equipment for students to enjoy at Furnace Woods and Buchanan-Verplanck Elementary Schools.

Furnace Woods hosted a STEAM Career Day on Thursday, March 28, 2024. The event featured 16 different presentations that introduced students to careers related to the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.

March is celebrated across the country as National Athletic Training Month. Hendrick Hudson's athletic trainer, Meg Greiner, has worked with Sailor athletes for nearly 23 years. "My job," Greiner said, "is to be there and help them continue doing what they love."

Hendrick Hudson's annual K-12 Visual Art Show is now on exhibit at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library. The exhibit will be on display from March 28 to April 28 in the library's Community Room and features artwork from students all five of the district's schools.

STEAM Innovation Day returned to Hendrick Hudson High School for the second straight year. The event designed to introduce students, parents, and other members of the community to the district’s vibrant science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics curriculum.

Students at Hendrick Hudson's three elementary schools enjoyed the annual book fair, which is sponsored and organized by the Elementary PTA.

Hendrick Hudson students across the district were given a preview of this year's spring musical, "The Little Mermaid," when cast members visited each school and performed songs from the show.

Staff from around the Hendrick Hudson School District joined students at Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School on Monday, March 4 for Read Across FGL Day. They served as guest readers in a day devoted to reading.

The Hendrick Hudson School District has an emerging solution to driving violations that should keep students much safer on their bus routes.

A weeklong celebration at Furnace Woods was designed to celebrate the diversity of the Hendrick Hudson community. Students enjoyed music from various cultures, discussed the origin of their names, sampled international food in the cafeteria, and more.
